I’ve always had a love for things of decades past. I was the kid always watching Nick at Nite because I thought (knew!) shows from the 50′s-70′s were where it’s at, and asking my parents to tell me stories about growing up in the “olden days”. I remember my Grandma asking me why I felt the need to shop at Goodwill, and also trying to encourage me in that someday I would be able to afford NEW furniture, after proudly showing her my thrifted couches :)
Luckily I met my match in someone that feels the same way so we agree on how to decorate. On the flip side, we are both collectors and definitely run the risk of being future hoarders…
I wrote a guest post for My Girl Thursday if you want to read my thoughts on vintage decorating on a budget. Her blog is SO awesome and I was super excited to be a part of it!

Ooooh…I have to go check out your guest post. I LOVE your cat wall hangings. I think it’s getting dangerously obvious that I’m obsessed with cats haha. That dresser is just lovely too!
Your cat obsession is safe and respected here :)
Lisa,
Love this shot! I’m gearing up to blog more about vintage around our house too, so this is some nice inspiration. :) I’m actually staring a mini series this Friday featuring vintage Christmas decor, you’ll have to check it out!
Off to see your guest post.. :)
I will definitely check it out, thanks!
I love your cat wall hangings so much! I want them for Christmas now…where did you get them?
They were a lucky score at the thrift store! I hope you find some!
