White Christmas…

missouri Christmas

We just spent the holiday in Missouri, in the city where Brian’s dad grew up. It was cold and snowy and I was excited to have my first white Christmas in 20 years! I grew up in a snowy place but haven’t celebrated Christmas there in a long time. They have a big, welcoming family and they were so kind to make me vegetarian versions of their meals. Loving cats also seems runs in their genes, which is a good thing :)

I want to share some pictures from the trip- but don’t tell Brian he’s in so many of them… ;)

The night we got back, my friend/former roommate who’s visiting from D.C. was performing stand-up at an open mic night at a local comedy club. I was so nervous because I’ve been to lots of comedy shows but never had a friend up on the stage :) He did awesome and performing comedy takes SO much courage!

I hope you all are enjoying your holiday season! Have you been traveling?

Can’t get over that first photo. My sister’s future mother-in-law is from Massachussets and told us about a party they had in the winter where she would open her back door and shove beer cans into the ice rather than the freezer. I just couldn’t picture it, and now there’s a visual haha.

Glad you had such a great (and white) Christmas! As a side note, your hair looks great!

Awe, I so want to see snow again! I only saw it in England over 15 years ago.

And, oh, my! That sign that says “We’re staying together for the sake of the cat” is too funny, hahaha! :P

hah! When I saw the title “White Christmas,” I thought you would be ona white beach in Arizona somewhere making me feel really jealous, but you are actually in SNOW! And in the midwest! So happy you got to be in the snow for Christmas!!! :) I am just starting to get over my cold after a week! Can you believe it?! We were supposed to go to a cabin for NYE but not happening. We will be staying home and eating the perogies we made over the holidays and maybe drinking some champagne. :) But, it will be nice to ring in the new year with my favorite lady. :) I will send you an email soon, love! xo

I also had a White Christmas! Although not as much cat loving. I LOVE all the items and well as your superb green coat!

I love all the photos of the cats and cat things! LOL I’m also from a snowy place, but I haven’t been home for Christmas in over 8 years so I’ve missed having a white Christmas, too. Looks like you had a fun time!

I’m so jealous of your white Christmas, though I did get to play in a foot of snow the weekend after Christmas. I’m so glad you had a happy holiday, and got to make so many new, cool memories with your love.

i’m always so humbled when friends and family graciously accommodate my vegetarian diet. it really means the world to me when people omit bacon from the recipe, for example. such kind folk.
