an afternoon in PHX…
October 1, 2011So I have this friend Monica, and she is downright awesome.
I met her a few years ago because her boyfriend is one of my friends from college/past roommates. One of the things I love about her is that she is always trying new things, and isn’t afraid of restyling her path to fit with new interests. She is an actress, traveler, writer, Certified Holistic Health Coach, an inspiration to creative spirits, and a lucky girl to live in Brooklyn!
She recently came to Phoenix as part of her latest project, a travel series focusing on what the locals love in their city. I figured the best way to show her things I love to do in Phoenix (when it’s still triple digits!) is go for coffee, and of course some vintage shopping! I brought home a few souvenirs from that day that you may recognize from this post…
Coincidintally I knew the girl working at the vintage store, and she was super sweet to oblige us with photos. We picked out some outfits, she did some impromptu set styling, and we had a fun afternoon photo shoot!
I really wish I could just move into that store, it’s a mid-century lover’s dream!
Sometimes it’s good to have a reminder that the place you live can be as awesome as you make it! What are some of your favorite things about your city?

1) Have you considered dying your hair a darker brown? I thought you did in one of the pics and liked the look.
