Today is my first time participating in the What to Wear, and it’s for a bike ride- yay! I love going on bike rides with Brian and now that we’re starting to have cooler evenings, it’s perfect. A vintage bike was actually the first gift he ever gave me when we were first dating, and although I don’t ride that one anymore, I just can’t part with it :)

I’m not always the most practical dresser for riding a bike, but I figure that since women’s bike frames were originally designed with the curved bar so that they could wear skirts and dresses, it’s okay :) This was also the perfect opportunity to show off another hand me down from Amanda because this skirt has built in shorts underneath! Yay for modesty!

Here’s another example of what I wore on a bike ride for Tour de Fat a couple of years ago, one of my favorite events that is coming up soon!

Thanks for having me, What to Wear ladies! Make sure you check out the other posts today and also look for What to Wear to a pumpkin patch on October 4th!

Cutest bike. Cutest outfit. Cutest you! Bike riding has been one of my recent hobbies as well. I never go bike riding looking that cute, but maybe I will try next time! :)
This is the cutest bike outfit ever! I love it and i love this series.

LOVE the shoes and top! Totally an outfit I would rock, and on a bike at that. A girl after my own biking-in-a-skirt heart. :)
what a fun idea! Cute outfit, I love biking in the fall :)
I adore this outfit. Thanks for joining in with us. I’m so glad you did. You brought a whole new level of adorable to our little fashion crew.
Oh man, that skirt looks ABS FABS. Seriously! You are so minty and pretty! I love it. And I love your race outfit. I just decided (yesterday) to do my first bike race on October 6. I will have to wear a jazzy outfit like this. Pretty hot! xoxo
Your outfit is so colorful and perfect! It makes me happy :-) And your Tour de Fat outfit is kinda the most amazing thing I’ve seen on a bike in a while. Love it.
This makes me want to ride a bike so bad! I’m supposed to be restoring 2 vintage bikes with my Dad but we don’t live close so it’s going to take forever. I always see girls riding bikes in dresses/skirts but with no shorts underneath and it boggles me. I’m sure it feels freeing and all but c’mon..
Whoa, I love your bike. Very neat & the color is gorgeous. Your shoes are really pretty, too. Would love to get me a pair just like them :)
I’m so excited for Tour de Fat too! Do you have a costume lined up yet? Love the bike outfit, super cute!
I don’t know yet! Do you? Hopefully I’ll see you there! :)
i LOVE your vintage bike! and that outfit is just so perfect to wear with it.
Haha, I never dress practically for anything! This outfit seriously couldn’t be anymore perfect Lisa – the shoes, the skirt …love them! And oh man, I so want your bike right now :) Happy weekend! xo Marisa
OMG, that last outfit is so awesome! :P And the previous one, too. And Brian is such a great gifter!
Wow, I could never look like that on a bike- I’d be way too paranoid of my dress flying up! The pastels are so adorable with the bike though- great retro feel. And needless to say, that last look is absolutely killer!
Sincerely,
Sabrina
I’d never heard of the what to wear but that sounds fun I,ll have to see the others. Glad u don’t let biking hinder your outfits! Love that skirt on you and extra love the tour de fat outfit.
