It’s so crazy to be reading about the coldness people are living in right now (like Jessica and Elana’s recent posts)- like temperatures way below zero, temperatures I don’t even know how to understand.

Yes, that is a tree full of ripe oranges behind me (and my neighbor’s recycling bin, but hey, at least it’s for a good cause…), and this scarf is merely for my drive to work because by the time I get there the day is warming up. Don’t get me wrong, I’m not bragging, because while the rest of you are having picnics during the summer, I will be planted on the couch avoiding the scorching AZ heat. Sometimes this opposite land makes me feel like I should be living in the southern hemisphere- maybe with an adorable Australian accent…

kimono top

top: from a friend
dress: H&M
scarf: Free People
shoes: ModCloth

This wrap-style top was in a bag of clothes I received from a friend that recently moved to NYC. She was one of the best dressers in my design program, so I was delighted that she wanted me to take some things off her hands. The print reminds me of a watercolor painting, and the loose, open fit gives it endless styling options. I wore another top from her over on Flock Together the other day if you want more proof that she has great taste.

Stay warm everybody!

I have tights in that same color and can’t figure out what to wear them with. I really like how they look with your top though. And I feel ya on the heat situation – I haven’t even been needing a jacket at night!

Hahaha you better believe I’m jealous! Although I do have to agree; I would NOT want to be in AZ in summer! Regardless of my envy for you right now, I still love everything about this outfit, especially the tights/wedges combo!

That top is adorable! And those shoes are amazing!

You look lovely Lisa. I love the tunic over the dress kind of a look.

Your top is so pretty! I really love the print :) I’m definitely jealous of your warm weather, I’m fed up of the rain! xx

Those shoes! I’m in love. It has been pretty warm in Washington this year, though nothing to California, and I’m not-so-secretly wishing either for some of the snow most of the country is getting, or for some of your sunshine!

Don’t worry, Elana and I are envious of your warmth! I would love to experience such a beautiful January. Your shoes are lovely and the colors in this outfit are so pretty.

I totally understand what you say about really low temperatures. It’s been in the 50s here this week and I feel I’m freezing cold!

Love those shoes! They’re so elegant and look very comfy :p.

Hope you have a wonderful week, Lisa!
