The other day, I was walking around downtown and I saw an older man dressed in a suit he’s probably had since the ’70s. I was thinking how stylish he looked and then I started thinking about what it must have been like to walk around in the pre-’70s when everyone was wearing the clothes I adore. I was imagining everyone just walking around complimenting everyone’s outfits.
I’m sure it wasn’t like that- I bet everyone just took those pretty mid-century dresses for granted, not realizing the bad choices they would be making once the ’80s rolled around…

So, I don’t know about where you live, but it seems like our thrift store’s (especially Goodwill) prices have been skyrocketing. These shoes were $15 but this suede skirt I thrifted in Missouri over Christmas was only $1.50! It seems weird to spend so much on a pair of shoes at Goodwill but, I justified it since they are vintage and really unique. I would totally spend more than that for new shoes, there’s just something about your mindset when you’re in a 2nd-hand store and your spending scale shifts.
I hope everyone has a great weekend! This entry was posted in outfits and tagged etsy, outfits, t-store scores, vintage. ← Collection: airplane wings always be learning… →
