Señor Tripod…

Wednesday was kinda a milestone for me. It was my first time using a tripod. EVER. It’s always seemed faster and easier to have Brian take my outfit/Etsy pictures. He’s always obliged but would (somewhat lovingly…) joke that I should get to know his assistant- Señor Tripod (pronounced Tree-Poe). I decided to stay inside since our backyard isn’t photo shoot material right now, and I wasn’t brave enough for tripod adventures for my neighbors to see.

First I will show you my failures. Yes, there were failures because I was home alone and flying by the seat of my pants.

Oh hey, I’m totally backlit and not centered!

Ummm… totes blurry.

Okay, now onto the more successful bunch. This was my outfit for my first day back to school, including the obligatory messy college hair. (Who am I kidding, my hair is pretty much always this messy…)

Oh clown guy, you’re so funny and whimsical…

I’m now armed and prepared with a tripod but not sure if I’ll ever be brave enough to go solo in public, I sure do admire those bloggers…

Oh, I can’t have David take photos of me. I get camera-shy, haha, and he takes too many blurry shots!

    Love your tights!

    Happy Friday, girl! ;D

  2. I love those leggings! And I’m wearing a crazy similar outfit right now.. less awesome leggings, short dress, waist belt, sweater, big fun necklace, boots.. it’s the only way to go!

Oh and tripods are pretty much magical. My photo quality drastically changed when I finally got one. Have fun with it! :)

yeahhh, self-timed photos can be a drag. it always seems easier to have matt, or someone else take them. if i’m out, it’s always like “hey! here! take my photo really quick! head-to-toe shots please!” lol.

Oh my divine! I love this outfit so much! Those tights are perfection!! I too tried the self timer on my camera a few months back and ALL i got were blurry shots. I tried taking them outside too and I about busted my bum trying to get to where I thought was the area I needed to stand. Total failure! But the ones you were able to get good shots of are cute!!

Haha! I always had so much trouble when I first started taking tripod photos! I have only just now gotten brave enough to go out in public and do it. But I always choose somewhere deserted. Haha.
Such a cute outfit, by the way! I love it!

  6. Oh my, I swear that ALL of my tripod shots are failures but have had to post a few anyway (but now just wait for when I know my guy can take them for me :) so I’m def impressed you got some great ones so soon! love the color of that sweater & the casual but cute look you made here- including that big messy bun.

Haha! You’re so brave. I never show my tripod fails, they make me shudder just looking at them. I’m still learning too :)

    Awesome leggings!

  8. Nice work! Your photos look amazing! ANd you look so cute on your first day! xo

  9. I feel so much more comfortable taking my photos on a tripod than having someone else photograph me…I just feel so awkward sometimes when Jayare or Leah take my photos! You’ll get used to it with practice. I just have to remind myself that it’s okay if people stare and wonder what the hell I’m doing!

    xx Adrian

I love that necklace! My tripod has fits of not being able to focus too. :)

    Happy Sunday!

I can see what is weird about carrying your tripod around, taking it to the park and into the city and all. I would be so afraid of someone running away with my camera, lol.

I’m dying over that necklace by the way, I absolutely love it!

Your boots are just too cute. XD And love the ensemble.
