Psychedelic Saturday…

Brag Vintage

I’m definitely guilty of romanticizing life in the ’60s based on fashion, decor, and architecture, but at least life in the 2000s means getting your hands on vintage gems like this top is pretty easy.

So let’s talk about stuff like bright colors and groovy prints and pretend we are going home to the Brady Bunch house after work! The only thing that seems more fun to me than living in the ’60s, is living in London in the ’60s. This psychedelic top came from across the pond and I can only imagine the fabulous life it had in it’s early days.

The UK team of Brag Vintage really knows how to stock there shop with some treasures spanning all the best decades. They are constantly updating the shop so follow them on Twitter to get first dibs on the latest goods!

I will be rockin’ this top with my best British accent today- which is “allegedly” terrible at best… but, hey- practice makes perfect!

Ah, such a fabulous look! That top is a wonderful find – and I bet it has some great stories to tell. Love how you paired it with that gold glittery tie!

I’ve always thought (well, and so parents tell me), that living in the sixites was a time of so much political and social change. My dad always says more change happened in the sixities (good thing) than in the next three decades combined. I’m not sure that is entirely true but I think we see that reflected in the styles of fashion and decor too.

It always amazes me too how different Swinging London seems from JFK’s Camelot, though I love the fashion of both! Anyway, enough history-rambling. I love the look, especially the pencil skirt!

  3. oh lordy gal but youve got some fabulous style going on! x

Aw what a great top! I’ll pop over to your Brady Bunch house built in 60s London for a cup of tea and we can practice our bad British accents together!

I love all of your outfits. They are so bright and effortless. Plus your smile is so sweet and I really wish I could rock the smile and still look cool.

  6. Oh, one of my very favorite parts of vintage clothing is imagining the previous chapters of its existence // Who originally bought / made / wore it, in what context etc. // And then imagining having lunch with them whilst wearing it and chatting about all the things that have changed for the better and for the worse since then. So nice to hear you hint at that too! ;)

  7. Ugh, London in the 60s, so good! Your top is adorable and anything with that flapper tie is just made instantly cuter! Rob tells me my accents are the worst, but I personally think they’re terrific of course!
