Primary Colors

Here I am, with another windy-day outfit post. I feel like it looks like I’m showing off my Elaine style dance moves in these pics.

Speaking of dancing- I have recently become obsessed with Zumba. After hearing Dus talk about going, I finally decided to give it a shot a couple months ago. Last week I upped it from 1 to 3 times per week because I’m totally hooked. I love dancing, but after seeing my serious lack of coordination in these classes, will finally admit that I’m not necessary good at it. :) I’m not one to be into exercising- I always considered working in busy restaurants my cardio (haha!). But it’s super fun and it feels good to have something active that I actually look forward to, especially now that I sit at a desk all day.

top: vintage- GROWop (also worn here)
skirt: thrifted (Jason Wu for Target)
scarf: thrifted vintage
shoes: Swedish Hasbeens

What to wear primary colors

I finally splurged on a pair of Swedish Hasbeens, and lemme tell you- I’m hooked. I went with the low platform so I could get more wear out of them this summer, but I’ve already been dreaming of other styles I want. The ol’ shoe addiction. It’s BAD.

I love these bright colors! Very cute. I do Zumba at home because I have a thing about working out in front of other people, but I’ve been thinking about going to an actual class! They seem like a lot of fun. Still, doing the Zumba dvds at home always puts me in a good mood. It’s my favorite way to exercise.

The class definitely helps keep me motivated- I’m afraid I would turn the DVD off 1/2 way through :) I think the key is finding one with other newbies!

Pretty sure the point of Zumba is to be moving more than being perfect at it. Good for you!

Also, you pull off primary color outfits so well :)

That’s so cool that you’re hooked in Zumba! I’m having a really hard time getting on my treadmill these days :/ … And I don’t think I’d ever got to they gym again, I don’t feel comfortable there, hehe. Zumba does sound like a lot of fun, though!

I really like Swedish Hasbeens, especially one of their latest models, but they’re kind of pricy :(.

Love this summery outfit! :p Have a great weekend, Lisa! ;p

I wouldn’t feel comfortable in a gym either, but I am NOT motivated on my own! The class I take is with the city and it’s very nonjudgmental :) These shoes were a splurge for me, but that’s why I went with the more sensible option :)

So jealous of your swedish hasbeens! I’ve had a pair of them on my wishlist for so long haha. They look super cute on you. Glad you have been enjoying zumba. I live in yogaland and I’ve tried both that and pilates but I prefer zumba :)

Me too! I finally bit the bullet, I figured they would be a solid sandal and I can pretty much wear them year round here :) I prefer Zumba too- I have so much more energy!

These colors are so cute together! I’m still kicking myself for not getting anything from the Jason Wu/Target collection. And I wish I could get into Zumba like you!

I have been thinking of taking up dancing. Working out is just not fun when you’re weak hahah. It’s awesome you’re looking forward to it!!

i’ve been really wanting to splurge on those shoes too- let me know if they last well! i usually wear my shoes into the ground which is why i get nervous dropping a hundred bucks on a pair. and that’s awesome you tried zumba! i have like zero rhythm so i’m too embarrassed to join, hahah
