Well, this is the closest I have to a 4th of July outfit for you. Confession: I’m really bad about planning outfit posts in advance. I wore this to work on Monday and after I took the pics I thought “hey- that gets pretty close to patriotic, because 2 outta 3 colors ain’t too shabby…”. Also, please read that with a British accent- the way the voice in my head prefers to be heard.

The last 5 years we have had a pool party for July 4th, but this year we are breaking tradition and heading to Oregon to visit my family. My in-laws are coming too, they’ve never been to Oregon and I’m super excited to show them around my old stomping grounds.

What are your plans for the weekend? If you are planning any movie time I HIGHLY recommend Obvious Child and They Came Together! Happy 4th to my stateside friends!

Ah Im the same way! I posted an outfit photo on Wednesday and realized I totally missed the boat on a 4th of july photo. I really do need to start planning better also. I guess I can take a photo on the 4th and post after but something about it feels counter productive.

    I. Love. This. Seriously one of my favorite outfits of yours. That skirt is to die for, and the top looks like it was made for it. You are just killing it, as usual.

And thank you for being on the exact same page as me when it comes to movies. I forgot to respond to you that I also saw They Came Together last week and loved it. And I cannot get over how amazing Obvious Child was. You get me.

I love this outfit and I love how its mostly thrifted. I never wear shades of yellow like that myself, but this definitely makes me want to play with color in different ways in the future c:
