A few weeks ago, I finally got around to selling some clothes on ebay and I rewarded myself by buying this shirt on Etsy. Did I deserve a reward? No, probably not. But there was money burning a hole in my Paypal account, and I did just scratch a looming task of the to-do list. This is how my brain justifies buying stuff.
But it’s a splurge I can feel good about because it’s handmade from vintage fabric, and it’s one quality piece replacing 10 chain-store items I got rid of.
I love the details, like the tie, lace trim, and darts. It is so beautifully made! The seller was so sweet and made the shirt to order, happily adding a couple inches to the length of her normal sizing. It shipped 2 days after I ordered it and arrived from Canada within a week!
I’ve been wearing jeans more than usual, probably because I know the insane heat isn’t far away and my jeans just lay gathering dust for a few months. I know this top will be getting a lot of wear this spring and summer, it goes with so many of my skirts and shorts and it’s made with comfy cotton.
My Etsy “favorites” is my go-to place to treat myself. What is your favorite way to reward yourself for getting through that to-do list? This entry was posted in outfits and tagged etsy, outfits, t-store scores, vintage. ← the cat’s meow… half-baked… →
