is it spring?

I’m just going to blame the fact that I live in a place with over 300 sunny days (not complaining!) a year for my perpetually spring-y outfits.

I wore this to work yesterday and then after a shoe change (these are surprisingly uncomfortable…) to speak to a class at the design program I graduated from last May. The program chair had myself and another graduate come in and talk about our process for the capstone project for the program, and what life is like “in the wild” as the instructors always call it, out of the comforts of school and the creative freedom it offered.

I was more nervous than I should’ve been, but I am NOT a fan of public speaking. Luckily it was in the comforts of my old classroom, I knew some of the people, and I was presenting with my friend who is totally at ease talking in front of a group.

top, shoes, & scarf: thrifted
skirt: Buffalo Exchange
necklace: vintage

Entirely 2nd hand outfit- yay!

Do you have a public speaking fear or do you love talking to a captive audience?

Thank you for your tv recommendations in my last post- I can’t wait to check out some new shows!

I would love it if I could dress like it were spring! We’re getting altogether too much rain and snow for my tastes!

  3. I cannot speak in public. I shake, stutter, and fight back the urge to vomit all over. hah! i.e., I was an amazing writing teacher back in the day. And by amazing I mean HORRIBLE.

I agree, the colours in this outfit are so quirky and lovely together. Oh public speaking, I avoid it at all costs but being a teacher…I do have to do it from time to time! Lucky me! It sounds like it went well, I think I would have been captivated by your outfit had I been in your audience! xx

Glad to hear your speaking gig went well! I used to be terrified of public speaking, but then started a job where I had to give tours to 20+ people multiple times a day multiple times a week and had to get over it.

Love this outfit! Your skirt is darling!
