It’s not often that I break out of the comfort of taking photos somewhere around our yard, but whenever I do, they always end up being my favorite outfit posts. That is also because if we are out and about, Brian is taking my photos and he is just so much better than me with the tripod.

He’s been scoping out locations for a photography project he’s working on and when I saw his test shoots from this colorful wall, I knew it was the perfect spot for this new-to-me vintage dress I bought on Etsy. Having money in my Paypal is so dangerous- it just doesn’t feel like I’m spending anything because it never made it to my bank account.

As much as I love buying new clothes, the feeling of a great deal on a vintage treasure is just so much more satisfying to me. I’ve found myself drawn to primary colors this summer, and I can tell this dress is going to get a lot of airtime the next few months.

What are some of your outfit staples this summer?

Ah those photos are gorgeous! Also you pull off that hair do so well, I feel like whenever I do it I look like a 90s raver girl. Most of my summer staples are vintage also, all dresses! I think my favorite is this strawberry print vintage dress I scored on etsy, its just about the most adorable thing I own.

I’m the same way; I love the photoshoots that are somewhere cool the best too :)

You look lovely and I like the buns.

  3. Love this outfit, the dress is such a great etsy find and the wall is the perfect backdrop!

Ahhh here’s that dress you were talking about! I LOVE it, especially the fun outlines on the pockets. And I totally know what you mean about that Etsy balance. It’s like play money, haha!

These pictures are too cute :) What a fun wall. I’ve been drawn to vintage clothes more lately too because they just feel way more special than something from a fast fashion shop.

Cheers to going to a new location and taking great photos! I’m the exact same way. Although I’m planning on going to a lake area to take some pictures next week. I’m nervous, but like you, I always like my pictures better when I venture out.

Oh Paypal, I have the same issue. It definitely just feels like free money!

This wall is amazing and YOUR HAIR. I wish I could rock this look. How do you make it look so classy and not 90’s Spice Girls fan? Also your dress + shoes. You’re a colorful ray of sunshine.

Not only the most perfect little nook to take photos at, but also the most perfect vintage dress! I nearly had my hands on a dress with the same kind of flowers on it (on a random German blogger’s shop-my-closet website)- but sadly the girl who owned it was unable to ship it overseas…I was heartbroken! Anyhow, have an amazing weekend lady!! xo Marisa
