an outfit fit for grandma…

lalafauxbois

At work I have been given the nickname Grandma. Is it because I’m a cat lady and collector of owl trinkets? Or maybe that I’m a total homebody in love with aprons and Pyrex? Add in to the pot my favorite hobbies are knitting and sewing and you could say it is a deserved title.

This dress is from Urban Outfitters- Urban Renewal line and I love it’s vintage styling, lacy peter pan collar, and how it’s actually made from vintage materials.

An Instagram close-up of my new owl bracelet & sparkly tapestry shoes:

I’m still not sure if I want to have kids, but I sure do love the idea of being a grandma and I guess I’m well on my way to that!

dress: Urban Outfitters
school bag: vintage
shoes: vintage that I’ve had for years
belt: thrifted
owl bracelet: birthday gift from Jesse & Nikki (my awesome in-laws!)

Let’s be honest, Grandma’s ALWAYS have the best taste. I wear my grandmother’s jewelry everyday. I’d be proud to have that nickname. You go, girl! I love that dress too!

They totally do! I have this bag with cats on it that only old ladies compliment and that’s how I know it’s awesome ;) Thanks girl!

I’m so happy to meet somebody else who gets called a ‘cat lady’…though mine usually starts with ‘crazy’ :)

I only have two though so I don’t think it’s justified, but I don’t mind because they are awesome!

I’m really glad I found your blog…I love the design and to find a fellow lover of all things vintage :)
