deep closets…

urban outfitters peter pan collar

This outfit was the result of cleaning out my closet a few weeks ago and stumbling upon unworn dresses. I dusted it off, and pulled out some tights I forgot I had too, and voila. On paper this dress is everything I love and should be a favorite, however in reality, I’m not in love with the way it fits- but haven’t been able to pull the trigger and part ways.

I’ve been having the urge to shop lately, which always gets a little stronger with the changing seasons. I’ve had a few good thrift store hauls recently, which is a good substitute for the punch in the wallet an online shopping spree could do. Well, I’m off to do some spring cleaning and get some new jewelry listed in the shop. Have a good weekend!

I have tights almost exactly like those and I actually forgot I had them too :) I’ve been craving new things lately. My favourite shop had a massive sale, so I could get a few things without spending that much.

This is such a great outfit! I am so in love that lace collar! I love when I stumble across a piece of clothing in my closest that I had completely forgotten about only to once again fall in love with it. I think that’s why I am so bad at getting rid of anything, haha!

I think it looks quite cute- it is understated but lovely.

However, I totally get pieces that should be everything you love but aren’t, quite.

This dress is such a pretty color!

Also I totally thrifted these exact boots in brown, but I can’t figure out how to wear brown, so I gave them away, but this is making me swoon for them all over again.

Oh I love it! I have some dresses though, too, that do something or other a little bit funny so I don’t wear them. I’ve been wanting to go on a shopping kick lately, too. I’m thinking I should probably make myself clean my closet first, though!

What a wonderful piece to be hiding in your closet! I’d have never imagined you could pair it with patterned tights, but the combo totally works :).

I also love your top bun; I can never pull it out :/.

Have a fun week, sweet Lisa!

That dress is too adorable! I have a similar dress that just doesn’t fit.. might bring in it to get tailored.. if possible. I wouldn’t give it up :D

I’m trying to work my way through my fabric stash and ward off new clothes buys by making my own new clothes, but it hasn’t really been working lately and I’ve bought quite a few dresses I’ve been wanting for a while.
