latest obsession: elbow patches…

I need help! I can’t stop putting elbow patches on my sweaters! Today I am guest posting on one of my favorite blogs, A is for Ampersand. It’s a DIY for kitty-fying your sweaters, so if you are in the cat-fanatic club, go check it out!

It hasn’t stopped with the cats, I’ve been stitching hearts and ovals too, and don’t see myself stopping anytime soon!

I added these hearts with a vintage polyester that won’t fray, and sewed them on my elbows and a couple on the front.

I absolutely love this DIY. Lucky for me I have a trunkful of felt just waiting to be turned into cat faces. Best DIY I’ve seen in awhile…not that that has anything to do with the cat factor or anything. :p

Hey Lisa! C, the 4-year-old, blew out the knees in her favorite pink leggings and wants cat patches just like “mama’s friend in Arizona”. Is there a pattern? Or do I try my luck free-handing? x
