Yup. Another 2013 year in review…

I never got around to a end-of-the-year wrap-up last year, but this year everyone’s posts inspired me to look back on all that’s happened this year. There definitely were some big changes so I thought it would be good look back on them! It’s easy for me to dwell on the things I didn’t accomplish or get to this year, so I thought it would be good to look at some of the high points of the year.

I graduated! I went back to school a few years ago and was really excited to graduate with my degree in graphic design last May. I’m still looking for my dream job, but it was pretty exciting to start a new career path.

The first few months of the year we didn’t really go anywhere, but after graduating and changing jobs I was able to take some more trips. We went to Max Fun Con, Oregon, L.A., Colorado, Missouri, and Austin. Also my mom came to visit, and my bestie and her fam!

This year Brian and I celebrated 10 years together! Best decade so far…

CREATIVE: (some highlights)
My favorite vintage dress makeover:

We turned this hanging cabinet into a credenza:

Took a jewelry making class and after hours of sawing, filing, soldering, and polishing, I made a cat bracelet:

Painted these fiberglass chairs Brian found by a dumpster:

And started my Etsy shop!

This year I definitely started getting more into the swing of things blog-wise. Also, back in October I was invited to join Flock Together and it’s been such a fun experience! I love swapping clothes with these ladies and getting to know them better through their blogs.

Phew! If you made it through that whole post, you deserve a pat on the back :)

Overall 2013 was a great year, with some new opportunities and challenges. A big thank you to all of you that have supported this blog, I truly appreciate everyone of you that reads it!!! I have loved making friends through this space and looking forward to getting to know more of you through the coming years!

Happy new year, friends!
