When I went home to Eugene, OR, I had a layover in Portland each way. The flight between the two cities is less than half an hour so the airplane is always a small, turboprop. I always love taking theses flights because they are super small and you can really feel the movement of the aircraft. It’s no secret that I’m a lover of flying and airplanes, and some of the magic of air travel is still there with a small plane- unlike the drone of big jets.
Before my flight home, I was talking on the phone to Brian and he told me about a photo effect when you take a picture of a propeller in motion with an iphone. I had a window seat right by the prop and couldn’t wait to check it out. The moment I held my phone up to take the picture I started freaking out with excitement of how cool it looked! I wished I’d known someone on my flight of nine people to share this with. Each way you turned the phone changed the direction of the effect. It has the illusion that the blades are falling off of the propeller!
This week I started back to school with a busy class load. Between that and work, this space is already getting a little neglected. Blogging around here may be a little light until I find my groove, and any tips you have for managing a busy schedule and staying motivated would be greatly appreciated! :)This entry was posted in adventures and tagged adventures, instagram, oregon, pictures. ← cacti and croquet… the bee’s knees… →
